Outdoors San DiegoOutdoors San Diego - Hiking, Biking & Camping by Tom Leech & Jack Farnan,
a book review by Nancy Reid

Outdoors San Diego - Hiking, Biking & Camping by Tom Leech & Jack Farnan,
is one of the most complete, easy to read, easy to follow, outdoor guides to the San Diego area on the market. The experience and dedication of the authors shine through this ‘must have’ book for the hiker, cyclist and camper.

Each trail is rated as to difficulty, detailed directions and a map given, plus a list of what you are likely to see and what you are likely to need is included. There are special sections for those with limited mobility; for those taking kids and pets; safety tips and camping guidelines.

I especially liked the overview of San Diego and the Urban San Diego section that is often left out of books of this kind. The style is pleasant, encouraging and humorous and the book is packed full of invaluable information about this diverse area.

It is published by Premier Publishing, San Diego, CA. and retails for $19.95. To purchase phone (858) 586-7692.
