Overview
The Northeast region of Colorado is where the Mid-west meets the West and is home to the Great Plains and the Pawnee National Grasslands. The open expanse of the grassland prairie is dotted with family-owned farms, pronghorns and sunflowers. The Pawnee Buttes beckon to rock climbers and hikers; while the Pony Express Route, the Overland Trail and historic forts attract history buffs.
