Sangronez
Sangronez means "bleeders", roughly, otherwise "little punks", the kind
that shake things up and keep them shaking. They burst onto the rock en
espanol scene in late 2003, debuting with Sombra (LA), and have been
making tidal wave-sized strides since. Sangronez can fill any venue with
rock that bounces off the rafters, with superb vocalist Joe Laguna (a
front man who can out-suavé Ricky Martin), drummer Ray "Rayzor" Contreras
(Parasite) delivering a punkabilly backbeat that gets audience members
pole-vaulting out of their seats, powerhouse bassman Marty Mendoza (who
dominates his leg of the stage like a Latino Gene Simmons), and razor
crunch guitarist Chuck Gonzales. Sangronez lays down thick and chewy
rhythms and hardcore hooks coated in the passion and good vibe that
permeates Latin-influenced music. They play with hard and high energy, but
most importantly, their music feels as good as it sounds and looks.
Sangronez is completing their album project
for 2004 at The Cavern Studios (Producer Bill Kashmin) in Tucson. The
band is coming up fast, having already secured full management with Right
Time Productions and major national distribution with Navarre, and picked
up tour dates throughout the Southwest starting February 2004 (Johnny Foxx
- West LA, The Rock - Tucson, Starlight Room - Phoenix, Yuma in April).
They are scheduled for a Fall tour launched by Lodown Music with several
other rock en espanol artists, promoted by SP Entertainment out of LA.

crazed bassist who dominates his leg of the stage like a Latino Gene
Simmons. Sangronez plays with hard and high energy, but most importantly,
their music feels as good as it sounds.
