 Stilton
Cheese Sliders
Featuring crumbled
stilton cheese, grilled red onions minced shallots and
chives, this tasty slider recipe is from Thornton Winery,
the gateway to Southern California’s Temecula Valley Wine
Country. Winemakers suggested pairings: 2005 Thorny’s Cote
Red.
Ingredients:
1 1/2
pounds ground chuck or lean ground turkey
1-2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup minced shallots
6 ounces crumbled stilton cheese
2 tablespoon minced chives
salt & pepper to taste
Directions:
Thoroughly
combine above ingredients and shape into 12 - 2 ounce round
pattys
Grilled Onions:
1-2 thick slice 1/4 inch Red Onion
salt & pepper to taste
grilled over medium fire until soft 5-8 minutes
1 Dozen
3-inch dinner rolls cut in half
Serves 6.
