Julian Town HallJulian Chamber of Commerce
Visit the Julian Chamber of Commerce for maps, directions, and information about local businesses and events.

Julian is an historic gold mining town located in the back country of San Diego county, California. It is one of California's most popular getaways and is beautiful all year round. It is especially known for apple picking in local orchards and apple pie; as a romantic getaway; as a family friendly destination; as a superb shopping experience; and as a quaint town surrounded by natural beauty.

The Chamber is located in the nearly 100-year-old Town Hall which displays historic photos upstairs, and is often used for local meetings and events. The Chamber of Commerce office has maps, brochures, books and an informed staff that provides information about Julian lodging, restaurants, shops, business services and events.

Julian Historic Walking Tour. A map is available for self-tour at the Chamber office located in the Town Hall. Plaques placed on historic buildings on Main, Second, Third, Washington, B and C Streets reveal Julian history from Gold Rush times to the 1920s.

Julian Grape StompJulian Events: The Julian Chamber of Commerce sponsors and supports several Julian events. The major events throughout the year include the Grape Stomp & Festa, the Julian Fourth of July Parade, the Annual Bluegrass Festival and the Julian Country Christmas and Tree Lighting. Nov. 29: Julian Country Christmas & Tree Lighting:  The tree lighting is set to take place in Julian’s Pioneer Park marks the beginning of the annual Julian Country Christmas celebration, featuring three weeks of holiday festivity during which visitors and residents can capture the spirit of the season in an old fashioned way. It’s easy to get into the spirit of the season in Julian, where it just feels like Christmas. With the scents of apple pies emerging from ovens and spiced cider on a back burner, Julian also smells like Christmas. Founded during a gold rush in the 1870s, Julian looks and sounds like Christmas too. Twinkling white lights and garland outline wooden false-fronted buildings along Main Street and up the side streets. In the spirit of the season, many shopkeepers add their own favorite Santas, sleighs and reindeer, garlands, wreaths and bows to the show. Everywhere you’ll hear the sounds of Christmas as well…costumed strolling carolers recall Victorian times, when Julian was a thriving Gold Rush town, and the Julian Doves and Desperadoes share Christmas memories in living history dramas.  (760) 765-1857
