Tohono Chul Park’s Summer Concert Series

Seats are now available for the 2008 Tohono Chul Park Summer Concert Series which kicks off Friday, July 25. The series, the first summer concert series at Tohono Chul Park, features local jazz and blues music in an outdoor setting.

The first performance is on Friday, July 25, and features the jazz quartet of John Ronstadt on vocals, Ed DeLucia on guitar, Scott Black on bass and Fred Hayes on drums. The quartet will play standards along with Latin, pop and Mexican music.

Stefan George continues the series on Friday, August 8. The award-winning guitarist performed his innovative and entertaining blues to a packed house during the Tohono Chul Park Spring Concert Series.

One of Tucson’s best-loved performers, Lisa Otey, will wrap up the series on Friday, August 22. Otey, voted as the best local performing artist by the Tucson Weekly three years in a row, has a unique style of jazz, blues and boogie woogie with hints of Elvis and Billie Holliday.
