Sept. 25: 15th Annual Waiters Race:
Held in Downtown Visalia with the race starting at 5:45 pm. The full services men and women brackets will carry a tray with two wine glasses filled with wine together with a wine bottle. The quick service guys and gals will have a burger clamshell and two plastic cups filled with soda on a tray. Both must make the ¼ mile with all items still on the tray. Oct. 7: 15th Annual Taste of Downtown Visalia: Visit Visalia for the 15th anniversary of the Taste of Downtown Visalia featuring 27 downtown restaurants that will let you taste wonderful samples of their finest foods with live music in the background and friends at your side. This year, there will be a commemorative cookbook featuring recipes from the restaurants that were in the first Taste of Downtown in 1993. Tickets are on sale now at $35 each, which includes the beer tasting, the wine tasting and tasting at the participating restaurants. There will be music located along the route provided by Valley Business Bank, Suncrest Bank. For more information visit www.visitvisalia.org
